Updates From Around The House!
This post is sponsored by Tom’s of Maine. As always, all opinions are our own.
Our days have been wildly long and busy, and we’re here to tell you that it is very much so still feeling like summer down here in Louisiana. We’ve been starting our days off with the Tom’s of Maine aluminum-free deodorant in Mountain Spring scent and it’s been an absolute savior for keeping us feeling and smelling as fresh as possible.
Here are some of the things we’ve done in the past couple of months:
We tore up the poorly built deck in the back to make room for garden beds and eventually a new, smaller deck. And we got to work on the beds already!
We barged through the wall between the living room and office to add a second set of French doors, creating symmetry and a better flow between the rooms. (OK to be honest a kind handy-man named Steve cut and framed the doorway but we like totally helped we swear).
We had all of the trees that were literally growing into the house trimmed back to make the place look a bit more fresh and less, uh, creepy.
Speaking of creepy, we removed the latches on the outside of all the doors that allowed you to lock people inside rooms. Why were they there???
We have spoken to approximately 4,872 contractors about tackling our bedroom suite, which by the way is incredibly overwhelming.
We unearthed an entire yard full of old bricks that we’ll get to use somewhere in the house in the future.
Through all of that, the Long Lasting Mountain Spring deodorant from Tom’s of Maine has been working well for us. If you’re new to natural deodorant, it might be necessary to give yourself a week or two to “detox” before it starts really working for you, and like there’s no better time than social distancing to stink a little bit while your body adjusts, right? Let us know if you make the switch!
Thanks for stopping by the blog!
